SuperTooth, the maker of hands-free Bluetooth car kits, just announced two new products to its collection of audio accessories, dubbed the Disco2 Portable Speaker and the Crystal Hands-Free Speakerphone. SuperTooth is growing around the world and has obtained an impressive piece of the hands-free market share, according to the company’s VP.
“With a presence in more than 40 countries, SuperTooth has sold more than 5 million devices worldwide, reaching a 45 percent market share worldwide in 2011 in the Bluetooth speakerphone space,” said Yves Le Reun, vice president of sales and marketing.
The Disco2 speaker lets users wirelessly stream music from any smartphone, tablet, computer, or MP3 player that supports Bluetooth A2DP (if said devices are compatible). Specs on the new Bluetooth speaker include: 6 watts RMS audio power, two-way speakers, and a sub-woofer plus medium tweeters. The Disco2 will come out in three colors and retail for $99 sometime at the end of Q1 2012.
Now the Crystal speakerphone is also Bluetooth-enabled and its purpose is to clip to a car’s sun visor. Much like the Disco2, the Crystal offers automatic device pairing and can connect two phones simultaneously. It’s also optimized to stream music wirelessly from Bluetoth A2DP-enabled devices and can relay turn-by-turn directions from compatible GPS systems. This thing will retail for $69 at the end of Q1.
