Good news for the fans of “everything PlayStation” living in the U.S. with AT&T offering two PS-certified device, Sony Tablet P and Sony Ericsson Xperia Play, for $299.99. Both devices are somewhat niche products and honestly I don’t see any of them selling like hot cupcakes. The Tablet P is a very specific tablet with two screens (I find it stupid), while the Xperia Play is a game-centric Android smartphone with last-year hardware under the hood.
The question is – whether these two together are worth 300 bucks? They would be if only AT&T doesn’t force you to sign-up for two separate contracts, one for a smartphone and the other one for tablet. As a result, you’ll end up paying more than $50 a month for two years to get this combo. So it’s everything but a good deal, or at least I think so.
