Good news for those of you with the BlackBerry Playbook. Thanks to the better support for Android apps introduced in the Playbook OS 2.0, now you can install the single most popular third-party browser for Android smartphones – Dolphin Browser. As far as I can tell, this isn’t the latest version of the application as voice-based controls (Dolphin Sonar) are not mentioned at all. Moreover, the app’s official description says anything about the ever useful plugins, which additionally extend the functionality of the browser.
However, you’ll still get a better app than RIM’s default browser with support for gestures, sidebar with some handy features, speed dial and a magazine-like layout for reading news (Webzine).
In a nutshell, you should try out Dolphin Browser if you own and intend to keep using the PlayBook. It’s my favorite web browser and I keep recommending it to all Android users I know. Hit the link below to grab it now. 😉
