Evernote Food, you know that app that lets you keep track of all the good meals you had, just got better. The popular note-taking service is now in version 1.1, bringing a number of cool features to the mix, including:
- Meal search – if you’ve been using the app regularly, by now you have a nice database of the dishes. Now you can more quickly find that perfect meal you had some time ago — the search bar is located just above your latest meal.
- Location search – allows you to search for meals based on location. If you can’t find the right spot, just create a custom one by entering the place name and location; or tap on the map image and drag & drop the pin as needed.
- Fancier date selection – you’ll notice the illustrated seasonal header images transitioning as you swipe through the months vertically.
- Create meals from your Camera Roll – import images of meals you had before there was Evernote Food.
- Custom locations with My Places – so you can set your Home address to quickly select it at a later point.
In addition, the graphics have been enhanced and the app looks much better now with new effects like thumbnail transitions. Moreover, support for new languages has been included, syncing and Facebook sharing improved, while many of the bugs fixed.
Finally, Evernote’s blog posts ends with promise that an Android app will be released soon. Can’t wait. 😉
