Fotopedia got some serious competition with National Geographic launching National Geographic Today, a free to download iPad app. As you can imagine, here you’ll find the latest news, videos, quizzes, articles and awesome lookin’ images, the popular magazine is best known for.

You can scroll through content from that particular day or review the past seven days using an accordion-style menu design. Moreover, there’s an option to save most (though not all) photographs to the device for use as wallpaper, as well as the ability to share all the content you like with friends and/or followers via Email, Facebook and Twitter. Finally, if you think you have something to add on some article, photo or video – you are free to join conversation and leave your two cents.

All in all, if you own an iPad, you’ll want to grab National Geographic Today. Hit the link below and take it from there.
