Cross-device computing experts at Splashtop updated their FileHound iPhone app, enabling file transfer and breadcrumb navigation. Those who haven’t heard of FileHound before should know it’s touted as the “easiest way to list, search and navigate documents, photos, music and videos on a computer.”

When connected to a computer (requires the Splashtop Streamer software on a remote computer), you can use FileHound to do such things as:

  • See a list of all files with two taps on the screen
  • Find files with FileHound search or view the recent items folder
  • Navigate with Trackpad mode
  • Use the shortcut toolbar to toggle between browsing and editing modes
  • Activate the keyboard or scroll bar
  • Zoom in or out of a screen

At the moment, FileHound can be downloaded for a special promotion price of $4.99 — the price will go up to $9.99 at some point so you better hurry. And if you’re not sure whether you need this capability, maybe the following demo video will convince you to push the button. Here comes…
