We all need to check some information with Wikipedia from time to time. Instead of visiting the website whenever that’s needed, some of us (I know I do) fire-up the dedicated Wikipedia app to get the information faster without loading any side graphics.
Up until this point, such an app wasn’t available for BlackBerry PlayBook users. I guess there were some unofficial ports but now the real deal (read: official) is in the App World, available as a free download.
You can search for nearby articles, open them in browser, read in a different language, search, adjust the text size and so on. In total, there more than 20 million articles in 280 languages, making Wikipedia the single largest encyclopedia in the world… and a must-have app on every smartphone and/or tablet.
