File this under rumors, but it seems the world’s most famous birds will meet the world’s most famous family — the word on the street is that one of the upcoming Angry Birds Space updates will feature Homer. What else that Donut-shaped planet could mean?

When asked about this, Rovio answered that it “doesn’t comment on rumors or speculation – but this isn’t far-fetched by any means.” Sounds like a “yes” to me, though you never know.

The fact is that the Finnish game maker has already co-operated with Fox (the distributors of The Simpsons) in the past over Angry Birds Rio game. Moreover, the famous avians were featured in The Simpsons’ episode as shown below. Add to that Homer’s space adventure and you quickly realize this could easily happen. I can imagine Homer being used not for destroying surrounding construction but for actually eating evil pigs. Could be fun when you think about it. 😉

And now the mentioned video. Enjoy! 😉
