The retina-capable app is perfect for both browsing Spotify’s catalog of music and for searching playlists, artists and users. The app takes full advantage of the iPad’s screen and has a beautiful design that makes it easy to control the playback of your music. Needless to say, cover art on the iPad looks fantastic.
Besides its snazzy interface, Spotify for the iPad also adds gapless playback, cross fading and a handful of bug fixes. Spotify for the iPad is available for free from the iOS App Store (iTunes link). To enjoy the full mobile experience, you will need a premium account which starts at $10 per month. The app will give you a 48-hour premium pass and you can activate a 30-day free trial, if you need more time.
