In a me-too move, RadioShack has announced that they too will be offering a $50 discount on the iPhone. Yesterday, RadioShack started selling the iPhone 4 (8GB) for $49, and the iPhone 4S for $149 (16GB), $249 (32GB), and $349 (64GB). The move comes after multiple smaller, regional retailers started selling Apple’s iPhones at these lower rates, and after Target announced they would be cutting $50 off the iPhone prices as well.
The $50 price reduction ends June 30th, so you’ll want to act soon if you want to save a cool $50 on your Apple gadget.
It’s a good and bad time to be buying an iPhone. On the one hand, you’ll save $50 off the current and previous-generation iPhones, though the next iPhone is right around the corner with a summer/fall release, and is rumored to be well worth the wait. Will you be taking advantage of retailers like Target and RadioShack taking $50 off the iPhone’s contract price, or are you holding out for the iPhone 5?
