The market of music discovery app is heating app with Songbird claiming their latest Android application is the best on the market. The company goes one step forward saying that music lovers today are being cheated by (other) music apps like Spotify, Pandora and iTunes with limited social and discovery features.
The Songbird app makes discovering songs effortless with music and artists being delivered straight to the user. The app suggests new music to fans based solely on the artists and music the fan already loves. Moreover, fans can follow an artist’s every move, by checking their social networks’ status updates. Songbird draws from sources such as Facebook posts, YouTube videos, SoundCloud audio tracks, Wikipedia and last.fm bio information, and Flickr images.
Of course, the sharing element also comes built-in, allowing friends to see what others are listening (via Facebook integration), recommend songs, and if needed – buy them through 7digital.
