Aside from having a ton of rock-solid smartphones, Verizon Wireless keeps adding feature phones to its portfolio cause, you know, not every necessarily wants, needs or can afford a modern smartphone. For those folks, the Big Red carrier will launch the third generation of the Samsung Intensity phone.

Similarly to the previous model, which was unveiled back in July of 2010, this one too will boast both a QWERTY keyboard and numeric keypad, making it ideal for folks who want to keep in touch with their buddies while on the go (as in chat and text all the time). Moreover, there’s likely some camera on the back, 2.2 or 2.4-inch QVGA screen, Bluetooth, social networking integration and so on.

At the moment, it’s unclear when the Intensity III will launch, but considering the dummy units have started appearing, it’s fair to argue that will happen sooner rather than later. We’ll let you know as soon as we hear something new on this… not that you care or something. 😉
