Walmart took to its Facebook and Twitter pages to announce that it is slashing $40 off the iPhone 4S starting today. These steep price cuts started months ago with retailers like Best Buy and Target, but have accelerated with Sprint and Apple itself joining the discount party. The only caveat to Walmart’s deal is the fact that it’s available only at select stores.
Anyway, here’s the status update the retail giant put up on its Facebook page:
Amazing savings alert–starting on 8/23 at 9am local time, the iPhone 4S (16G) will drop to $148, down from $188!
Select stores, AT&T, Sprint and Verizon customers, while supplies last, restrictions apply.
And here’s the company’s tweet about the deal:
Everyone one is getting ready for the launch of the new iPhone, as many believe an announcement of the iconic device is imminent. September 12th has long been pinned as the day the new iPhone will be announced, and the 21st is the rumored day that it will hits shelves. Walmart’s latest deal is available to those who don’t mind signing a new two-year contract or using a qualifying upgrade.
Tell us if you see this deal in your local Walmart?
