Augmented reality experts from Zappar launched a new offering that include a physical product – Zaphat. Using this special, Zappar-branded hats, those wearing it change face when looked through the Zappar app. From cartoon characters to scary monsters to medieval knights, Zaphat offers a myriad of options to personalize the user experience for different occasions. And because there’s a reference point (hat), the masks move with the hat, with the Zappar app allowing you to snap a picture or short film of the experience and share it across social networks.

Zaphats are debuting this week at the premiere fashion and apparel event MAGIC Marketplace in Las Vegas, and will go on sale in the UK in time for the Christmas period.

We like how it sounds and really want to applaud Zappar for going beyond software to bring augmented reality technology to the mainstream users. Love it. 😉
