Hackers from the XDA-Developers community don’t stop to amaze me — they managed to make the original Motorola DROID run the latest version of Android – Jelly Bean. According to report, almost everything is working perfectly except for the camera which tends to be either too slow or not working at all. We’re amazed that the DROID can even run Android 4.1 so we’ll take this as a success even if camera never gets to work properly.

If you own the “first DROID”, the chances are you also have another device you use as a main phone. In that sense, nothing stops you from experimenting. You can get all the details and instructions how to “modernize your DROID” from this page. Do let us know if you manage to make this work. Good luck. 😉
