Parkmobile has recently updated its mobile apps for iPhone and Android to allow users to pay for parking with PayPal. The service isn’t widely available yet, and at the moment it’s limited to some 20 cities around the US, with more places coming soon.
To use your PayPal funds to make transaction, you’ll first have to connect your PayPal account to Parkmobile, which you can do right from within the application. Once that step is done, you’re good to go (presuming the parking area you want to pay with PayPal is included in the initial 20 cities list).
No word when BlackBerry and Windows Phone apps will get the same treatment, but I guess that will happen in the near future, as well.
Again, in order to use Parkmobile’s service, you need to register for free at parkmobile.com, or download the mobile app. Once registered, you can use the mobile app, the internet or a toll free number to pay for parking. That’s it. 😉
