MWC 2013: ASUS booth tour

ASUS had a fairly small booth at this year’s Mobile World Congress. Their key devices were the Padfone Infinity and Intel-powered FonePad. Needless to say, we prefer the former which looks pretty sexy in its metallic body and the HD tablet shell. Moreover, few of their Transformer tablets were on display as well, and so was the MemoPad 10.

Personally I dig the Taiwanese company’s strategy but dislike their execution; they had some serious problems bringing their Padfones to the market in a timely fashion. In fact, as I’m writing this, the Padfone 2 is still not available in most parts of the world. So we’re hoping this will change and that carriers will also embrace the concept despite their wishes to sell us two separate devices (and contracts) rather than one device that acts both as a phone and tablet.

Anyhow, here are few shots we caught while visiting ASUS’ booth in Barcelona.
