US Cellular’s Galaxy Axiom is getting the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update that includes Google Now capabilities, Project Butter enhancements as well as actionable push notifications.

For some reason, the carrier-specific version of Galaxy S III Mini was launched with Ice Cream Sandwich on board and we’re pleased to see it getting this treatment that will effectively make it on par with the international version of Sammy’s smartphone.

Again, the Galaxy Axiom (and the “regular” Galaxy S III Mini for that matter) comes with a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 4-inch WVGA screen, dual cameras, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth and a microSD memory card slot.

If your unit still hasn’t informed you about the update, feel free to manually check for it – hit “Settings” -> “About phone” and take it from there…
