When Samsung announced a few days ago that it was hosting a press event in London on June 20th, immediately rumors of what upcoming devices that could appear there started making their rounds. With the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini making an official appearance on Samsung’s website, we can safely assume that the device will be unveiled at the press conference. Hi-Tech.Mail.ru today reconfirmed rumored specs for two Samsung devices, the Galaxy S4 Zoom and the Galaxy S4 Active, leading us to believe that these devices may be announced on June 20th as well.
The Galaxy S4 Active is being billed as a dust and water resistant device, and possibly touting a red exterior, and will have the following specs:
- 5” Super AMOLED Full HD display
- Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 CPU
- Adreno 320 GPU
- 2GB of RAM
- Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS
- LTE support
- 16GB of built-in memory, microSD support
- Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, NFC, IR blaster
- 2600 mAh battery
The Galaxy S4 Zoom will be similar in size to the Galaxy S4 Mini, with a camera zoom lens akin to the Galaxy Camera, with the following specs:
- 4.3” 540x960px Super AMOLED display
- 1.6 GHz dual-core CPU, no LTE support
- Android Jelly Bean OS
- 8 GB of built-in memory, micro-SD support
- 1.9mpx fron facing camera
- 16 megapixel main camera, with 10x Optical Zoom
- Bluetooth 4.0LE, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n, A-GPS
- 1900 mAh battery
We will more than likely see these devices announced alongside the Galaxy S4 Mini at Samsung’s press event on June 20th, where Samsung is also expected to reveal its new Windows Phone 8 powered ATIV devices.
