AT&T has just released an Enhanced Push-to-Talk app for Apple‘s iOS platform, which allows workers with an iPhone 4S or iPhone 5 to chat instantly with large groups. Ironically, this iOS mobile application is the first for AT&T in supporting WiFi calling and messaging. In its press release AT&T stressed how this move would help business customers.
“From the start, AT&T Enhanced Push-to-Talk was designed specifically for AT&T’s speedy 4G LTE networks**** and now we are offering even more devices so our business customers can communicate faster and to larger talk groups.”
Of course, as you would expect, Enhanced Push-to-Talk is only available for those with a subscription. This service will be perfect for customers leaving Sprint’s iDEN network once The Now Network officially shuts it down.
