Rovio has officially announced Angry Birds Star Wars II, which will be available for iOS and Android on September 19th. The game expands on the Angry Birds Star Wars franchise by offering a slew of new characters and abilities from across the Star Wars universe. The game will now include characters and storylines from the prequels as well, as well as allowing players to join the “pork side,” playing as the pig baddies.

Along with 30 characters to choose from, new levels and new weapons and Jedi moves, Rovio is releasing a line of 30 collectible figures from Hasbro called TELEPODS. When a TELEPOD is placed on a phone or tablet, the character is transported into the game, allowing users to transport characters directly into the game.

So check out the awesome video below for more insight into TELEPODS and Angry Birds Star Wars 2. Grab the game on September 19th, and may the birds be with you!
