Yup, we knew this one’s coming and yesterday Nokia pretty much confirmed the news. The Lumia 625 is now officially official with shipments set to begin in the third quarter of the year.
Specs wise, we’re talking about a low-to-mid end smartphone that comes with a large 4.7-inch screen, which is unfortunately stuck to WVGA (480×800 pixels) resolution. There’s also a pair of cameras (5-megapixel rear with LED flash and VGA front-facing one) as well as the preloaded Nokia Smart Camera and Cinemagraph software. Plus, let’s not forget a decent 2,000mAh battery, LTE connectivity support, 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor, Wi-Fi, GPS, 512MB of RAM, and 8GB of expandable storage.
When it comes to design, the Finnish company emphasizes rounded surfaces of the Lumia 625, adding that even the edges of the glass are rounded to “give the phone an organic feel like a smooth pebble.”
Finally the price – Nokia Lumia 625 will go for around 220 EUR before any local taxes or operator subsidies and will be available in a number of color options, including orange, yellow, bright green, white and black.
