Sony’s Honami smartphone has been pictured many times over recently, and a new leak today gives us some details pertaining to the specs of Sony’s upcoming powerhouse smartphone. Rumors this far have pointed to the device touting a 20 megapixel camera, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and 2GB of RAM.
The benchmarks today come to us via a report from GFXbench, which confirms earlier reports of processor type and Android version. The report lists the model number as C6903 running Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean on a Snapdragon 800 clocked at 1958Mhz and an Adreno 330 GPU. The display is shown as 1794 x 1080p, which will more than likely become 1920 x 1080p at time of release.
The Sony Honami is expected to be revealed at IFA in Berlin on September 4th, which has been alluded to in recent leaks.
While the Honami is similar in design to Sony’s Xperia Z, the thing that will set the Honami apart from other stylish Sony offerings is the 20 megapixel camera that the device will be rocking. The camera will not have a protrusion akin to the Galaxy S4 Zoom and the Nokia 1020, and will include a Xenon flash, possibly with Cybershot branding.
The Sony Honami is looking to be one hell of a device, and we can’t wait to get our hands on it when it launches later this fall.
