Virgin Mobile Canada is back with its “Tester Team” program, this time looking for 5 users to try out the new BlackBerry Q5. The pitch is familiar – interested individuals should tell the carrier in 100 words or less why they’d be an awesome Virgin Mobile phone tester.
BlackBerry took some time to bring the Q5 to Canada, and the phone launched in its home turf some two weeks ago. Today, it is available from a number of local operators, including Bell, Fido, Koodo, Sasktel, TELUS, and Virgin Mobile Canada, the last of which has an exclusive on the red version (whereas all others offer the black model). Virgin is asking $399.99 for the contract-free Q5 or $49.95 with a two-year contract.
Finally, it’s worth reminding that previous devices which were included in the carrier’s “tester program” included the Samsung Galaxy S4 and HTC One.
