T-Mobile Changes Way Business Does Wireless With New Simple Choice Plans
Company introduces no annual service contract options for business customers; separates the cost of the device from wireless service; and extends device monthly installment benefits for businesses
BELLEVUE, Wash. – Aug. 21, 2013 – T-Mobile US, Inc. (NYSE: TMUS) is changing the way business does wireless with its new Simple Choice for Business and Simple Choice Classic plans.
With these new plans, T-Mobile is providing business customers more flexibility and choice about how they buy and use wireless devices, including no annual service contract options with the T-Mobile Simple Choice for Business plan. Both the T-Mobile Simple Choice for Business and Simple Choice Classic plans can also help to eliminate the potential for the unpredictability, overages, and overspending typically associated with existing shared data plans from wireless carriers.
“Wireless carriers have bullied business customers for far too long. No longer will they be forced to deal with annual service contracts or unreasonable constraints, exorbitant overage charges, and unpredictable monthly bills,” said Drew Kelton, executive vice president of T-Mobile Business at T-Mobile US. “Our new Simple Choice plans empower businesses to make the choices about their wireless service.”
Simple Choice for Business
With Simple Choice for Business[1], T-Mobile offers freedom from restrictive annual service contracts; separates the cost of mobile devices from wireless service; and extends device monthly installment benefits for business customers with more than five lines of service. Because this plan de-couples service from the cost of device, Simple Choice for Business can greatly benefit organizations with bring-your-own-device (BYOD) programs and policies.
Simple Choice for Business asks customers: How many lines do you need, and how much high-speed data would you like? Pricing ranges from $20 for unlimited talk, text and up to 500MB of high-speed data[2] to $50 for unlimited 4G data on our nationwide network. Predictable billing. No caps. No overages.
Simple Choice Classic
For business customers who prefer to bundle device and service fees into their monthly plan, T-Mobile offers its Simple Choice Classic plan. Like Simple Choice for Business, the plan allows customers to choose number of lines and how much high-speed data they want. Pricing starts at $40 for unlimited talk, text and Web with up to 500MB of high-speed data2. For only $70 per month per line, customers may access unlimited talk, text and 4G data on a nationwide 4G network.Mobile Broadband
Both the Simple Choice for Business and Simple Choice Classic plans have standalone mobile broadband options beginning at 500MB and building to 12.5GB of data. Customers may also customize and stack their mobile broadband plan for exactly the right amount of high-speed data required while still allowing some flexibility to address fluctuating user needs. The new T-Mobile Simple Choice for Business and Simple Choice Classic plans will be available on August 26.
