Just yesterday, Verizon made two of the three new DROID handsets available, the DROID Ultra and Maxx. Verizon has wasted no time releasing the little sibling of the new DROID family, the DROID Mini, by beginning to ship pre-orders today, according to reports from Android Community. Verizon’s website now shows an August 22nd ship date for the Mini.
Verizon had stated yesterday that the Mini would be released on August 29th, making today’s news a bit of a pleasant surprise. The DROID Mini comes in with a bargain price of $99 with a new contract, and sports a 4.3 inch HD display, 1.7GHz dual-core CPU, 16GB storage, 2GB RAM, 10 megapixel camera, Kevlar casing, wireless charging support, and more.
If you’ve pre-ordered a DROID Mini, expect it to be showing up at your doorstep soon!
