Sony Xperia ZR is now available in the U.S. though you won’t be able to get it subsidized with a carrier’s contract. Rather, the Japanese company wants to sell you the unlocked phone through its Sony Store for $499.99. Plus, this isn’t an LTE-enabled model but the one that’s “stuck” to HSPA+ speeds, which are still pretty fast.
You can choose between black, white, pink and mint color options though the last mentioned (mint) will start shipping on September 4th.
Again, the Xperia ZR is dust- and water-proof device with specs that include a 4.55-inch 720p HD screen, 13-megapixel camera with Exmor RS sensor and 16x digital zoom, 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor, 2GB of RAM, 2,300mAh battery, and 8GB of expandable storage.
