Snapchat has taken a page from Facebook and other apps by releasing a beta version of its Android app, which lets adventurous users try out new Snapchat features before they become a reality. Signing up is simple – all you have to do is join Snapchat’s Google+ community, and opt in to the beta program. Then uninstall and reinstall Snapchat, and bam! You’re in.

The newest beta features are simple enough, and very welcome. Version 3.1.00 brings an enhanced canvas, which gives you the option of changing the thickness of lines when drawing on the canvas. The more area of your finger you use to draw, the thicker the lines get. The enhanced keyboard allows for Swype style text input, a welcome addition for frequent video snappers.

So, do you want to have the coolest Snapchat features before your friends? Duh, of course you do! Hit the link here to get started on your beta testing adventure.
