Google keeps making Gmail better with the day. Their latest gig involves improving Gmail for feature phone browsers.

The web-based app is easier to use than ever, requiring less button presses to do certain actions, including reading, replying and composing emails. For instance, you can reply directly to a message from the thread view (without actually opening the message), choose to move to the previous or next conversation, and much more.

Most of our readers won’t notice the change but then again – most of you have smartphones. However, in the emerging markets of the world where many users still rely on feature phones, these sort of tweaks mean a lot, helping folks be more productive with their email… and that gotta count for something, right?
