Samsung Galaxy S4 Active with Snapdragon 800 chip coming soon?

Looks like Samsung will not only make a version of the Galaxy S4 with Qualcomm’s powerful Snapdragon 800 chip, but the Galaxy S4 Active will also get that treatment. In fact, it is suggested that such upgraded version of this phone may be launched in South Korea next month, with users being able to get it from SK Telecom.

The S4 Active which is currently selling all around the world rocks Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 600 processor, costing some 500 EUR or $600 unlocked. The addition of the better Snapdragon 800 chip will make the device even faster, potentially enabling new applications and better gaming experience (since this chip also packs an improved Adreno 330 GPU).

The Galaxy S4 Active is Samsung’s first high-end, IP67-certified waterproof smartphone. It comes with a 5-inch full HD screen, 2GB of RAM, 8-megapixel rear and 2-megapixel front cameras, LTE connectivity support (in markets where that makes sense), 2,600mAh battery and 16GB of expandable storage.

We are just hoping that this updated version won’t be stuck to Korean peninsula and will be available all around the world.
