HTC has started rolling out a big update to its HTC One flagship smartphone in Europe. The update includes Android 4.3 and the new version of Sense UI – 5.5. Yup, after you get this update, you will be able to remove BlinkFeed from the homescreen.

The 675MB-heavy download that brings firmware version to 3.62.401.1 has been caught in parts of Europe, including Russia, Nordic and select Eastern European countries.

Some HTC apps have been updated with improved UI, including Video Highlights, Music and Sense TV. In addition, Video Highlights got the ability to add soundtracks to videos, the Music app – embedded music channel with new scenes, and Sense TV – the new “My Picks Page” to improve program management.

BlinkFeed, as we’ve already mentioned, is no longer mandatory. It also got additional global news sources and the ability to save articles to read later or offline, as well as the option to create custom feeds from news media, Twitter and YouTube.

Yeah, the minute your HTC One tells you there’s an update waiting for download, tap that button and take it from there.
