A little known company (at least in the West) called Gionee announced its latest flagship device, Elife E7, which is one of the best phones ever.

It rocks Qualcomm’s fast Snapdragon 800 chip, 3GB of RAM, Gorilla Glass 3-protected 5.5-inch full HD screen with super narrow 2.33mm bezel, 16 or 32 GB of internal storage, and dual cameras. The one [camera] on the front boasts an 8-megapixel sensor which Gionee says is better than the main camera found on the iPhone 5S. As for the back-facing camera, it has a 16-megapixel sensor which is apparently the same as the one found in such point and shoot cameras as Cannon IXUS140 and Casio EX-ZR1200! Moreover, the lens is made by lens specialist Largen and auto-focus motor by Shicoh.

Yup, it’s a camera-centric device that also has an accompanying camera software that supports a number of scene modes and filters. For instance, there’s the beautification mode, action mode and even mode for taking photos of the food.

Gionee’s own Amigo OS 2.0 is running the show on top of the Android core.

The Gionee Elife E7 will be available in few different configurations with 2 or 3 GB of RAM, 16 or 32 GB of internal storage, and LTE / non-LTE connectivity options. The top model will rock Snapdragon 800 chip clocked at 2.5GHz, and users will be able to choose between few color options, including black, white, blue, orange pink, green and yellow… No word whether this phone will ever make it to the West…
