Samsung already has two Galaxy Grand devices, the original model and the newly announced Galaxy Grand 2, but that apparently is not enough. In fact, the Korean company may launch another member of the series in early 2013, most likely during Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
The forthcoming Galaxy Grand Lite will sit somewhere between the two existing Galaxy Grand phones, sporting a 5-inch WVGA screen, 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 2100mAh battery and an 8GB of expandable storage. In addition, it will also pack a pair of cameras, 5-megapixel one on the back and VGA front-facing one, as well as a second SIM card slot in some markets like India.
According to SamMobile, the Grand Lite will be available in few different color versions like white, “Midnight Black”, “Lime Green” and orange.
So what do we make of it? Not much really. As far as we can tell, Sammy keeps pushing its strategy of covering every possible price point, in a process that would cement its position as the world’s largest phone maker…
