T-Mobile has started taking orders for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0, TMOnews is reporting. The entry-level tablet is available online for $0 down and $13 per month on EIP, for a total of $312. It should hit the carrier’s stores around the country any day now.

As you may know, we’re talking about a rather unimpressive device with specs that include a 7-inch 1024×600 pixels touchscreen, 1.7GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage that is further expandable with microSD memory cards.

If you’re looking for an Android-based tablet and you can add some $50 more, you’ll be much better off going for the Nexus 7. Not only does it have a better full HD display, but also a faster quad-core processor and double the storage (32GB). It lacks a microSD expansion slot, though.

All in all, we’re glad to see the Magenta carrier expanding its tablet offering but we can’t really suggest anyone buying the Tab 3…
