Looks like Samsung won’t be the only major handset maker pursing the Tizen platform. According to PhoneArena, ZTE may also experiment with it and use its powerful Geek smartphone to showcase the capabilities of Tizen.
Those of you who missed it should know that the ZTE Geek was the first smartphone to feature NVIDIA’s powerful Tegra 4 chip. Alas, it wasn’t available all around the world and, unfortunately, we haven’t got a chance to play with it.
But, it will be interesting to try it out running Tizen at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
Of course, we also expect to see a Samsung-made Tizen smartphone at the big show. In fact, the Korean company will organize a special event to promote its new platform when hopefully we’ll find out more about it, like when the first Tizen devices will start selling and where. Stay tuned as we bring you more…
