Finally, the Android 4.4 KitKat update is almost set to land on HTC One devices in the U.S. HTC USA’s Twitter account sent word about this development today, saying that the update “has entered carrier labs for final testing” and to expect certification next week.
As soon as the update is approved by a carrier, it will begin its rollout OTA to HTC One devices on said carrier. As long as the update works flawlessly, it should pass through the carrier testing with the quickness. Verizon typically takes longer than other major U.S. carriers to roll out software updates, so Verizon customers may be waiting longer for the update than those on AT&T or T-Mobile.
