Looks like Acer may enter the smart watch market later this year, Taipei Times is reporting, suggesting that the Taiwanese company has already demoed its wearable devices to some of its clients during CES in Las Vegas. Alas that demo was held behind closed doors, so we can’t really tell what Acer’s smart watch will be all about. We guess it will come with usual notifications support, ability to track your fitness activities, and perhaps few apps and widgets. It’s unclear whether Acer built this phone from the ground-up or relied on some existing (reference) design like Qualcomm Toq… presuming that’s actually a reference design watch in the first place.
Anyhow, that’s all we’ve got at the moment. We’ll be on the lookout for more information and let you know as soon as we have something new to add. Perhaps Acer spills the beans during the upcoming Mobile World Congress in Barcelona; perhaps we’ll have to wait a little longer to get new details. Stay tuned as we bring you more…
