Samsung is launching a slightly upgraded version of the Galaxy Mega 5.8 in China. The new Galaxy Mega Plus (model number I9152P) dumps the dual-core chip for a more powerful quad-core one, clocked at 1.2GHz. Rest of the specs are unchanged and include a massive 5.8-inch screen with qHD (540×960 pixels) resolution, dual-SIM support, 8-megapixel camera on the back, 1.9-megapixel front-facing camera, 2,600mAh battery and a memory card slot. Software wise, it comes with usual Sammy goodies made for big screen phones like Multi Window, Popup Play, Group Play, Story Album, S Translator and more.
It’s unclear whether Samsung will bring this model to other markets outside of China, but even if it stays a China-only device, we won’t be missing it. The Galaxy Mega Plus is a rather mediocre phablet not many will miss. Or so we think; what do you say?
