Last month we’ve told you that Huawei is working on the Ascend G6, which will pack mid-range specs in the Ascend P6-like body. Well that model may be unveiled in the next few days at the company’s press event in Barcelona. Or at least the leaked press image we’ve got from EVleaks suggests something of that sort.

As you can see for yourself, this will be a colorful smartphone with Huawei asking no more than $300 for the unlocked unit. Heck, the price could be even lower considering the hardware G6 packs under the hood; its specs include MediaTek’s MT6582 quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz, 4.5-inch screen of unknown resolution (720p HD or qHD), 1GB of RAM, 8-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front cameras, and a microSD memory card slot. Android 4.2 Jelly Bean will run the show with Huawei’s own Emotion UI singing on top.

Yeah, we think the Chinese vendor has a bestseller here and we’ll want to try one as soon as we can…
