Pretty much every gadget site out there covered the Xiaomi Redmi Note launch last week. Meizu sees this as a great opportunity to tease us with a similar device, which too should offer quite a bang for the buck.
And so we have the Meizu Blue Charm Note, which will be powered by MediaTek’s MT6592 octa-core chip, while boasting a 5.5-inch full HD screen (take that Xiaomi), 8-megapixel camera on the back and Flyme OS 3.0. Sure enough, that 8-megapixel sensor isn’t as powerful as the 13-megapixel one found in the Redmi Note, but as far as we’ve understood, Meizu has a better camera technology, or at least that’s what GizChina is saying. And they know few things about Chinese handset makers.
As for the price, the Blue Charm will apparently cost in the 1000 Yuan range, and at this stage we’re still not sure whether it will be available in the West or not. We’ll see…
