Verizon Wireless will apparently start rolling out Android 4.4 KitKat update for the Galaxy S4 on May 2nd. This is not official information and comes from a leaked internal document, talking about the date. Aside from a number of changes Google brings to the mix, this firmware will also include many Samsung-made enhancements, software updates, tweaks, bug fixes and more.
Another Verizon device getting the update is the HTC One M8. Firmware version 1.55.605.2 is a maintenance release that brings bug fixes, tweaks and other improvements. Connectivity issues have been resolved, including some related to Bluetooth and syncing with the Dot View case. Moreover, the update also adds a new copy and paste feature to the gallery app, as well as mute and edit buttons for video highlights. It is a 121.5MB-heavy download, so you better connect to a fast Wi-Fi hotspot prior to tapping that “Update” button.
