HTC may be working on a new “Butterfly” handset for several markets in Asia, according to @LlabTooFeR.
From what we’ve understood, this device will have top-notch specs, while boasting a plastic rather than aluminum body, the fact that should make the phone more affordable.
Initial market will apparently include Japan, Hong Kong and Taiwan, though we’re certain some other countries will follow suit shortly afterwards. And who knows, perhaps we see this model hitting the Western hemisphere as well, offering the M8-like specs for the fraction of the cost. Or not. We can’t really tell at the moment, and we’ll rather have to wait for another few weeks to get all the details. Stay tuned in the meantime…
