On and on, Samsung keeps launching special (as in – better) versions of its flagship phones in South Korea. That was the case with the Galaxy S III, Galaxy S4 and now there are indications that the Galaxy S5 will get the same treatment.
According to the listing on Hong Kong price guide portal, Samsung-made device marked as SM-G906x will come with a QHD (2560×1440) screen, 3GB of RAM and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 805 chip! This model is apparently heading to South Korea where it will be offered by the big three carriers: SK Telecom will get the SM-G906S, KT – SM-G906K, while the SM-G906L model is heading to LG U+.
There’s also another variant mentioned, SM-G905H, which could end-up selling in other parts of the world. Or so we hope.
We can’t wait for the LG G3 to launch as it could push Samsung to release a beefed-up version of the Galaxy S5. Alas, we’ll likely have to wait for another few months before this unit hits the stores all around the world. Stay tuned…
