We can’t say we haven’t seen this coming. Xiaomi is now one of top 10 global smartphone makers by volume, though most its clients still come from China. Chances are this will change in the near future now that “Apple of China” is looking to expand beyond its home turf.

Xiaomi took the 6th position on the list which [list] is topped by Samsung and Apple. HTC is no longer one of the top 10 smartphone makers though that could change with the help of newly launched One M8 and few of the recently unveiled mid-rangers.

Back to Xiaomi. The 4-year-old phone maker is gearing towards announcing the 2014 flagship, Mi3S, as well as its very first tablet that will likely be known as MiPad. In addition to China, both of these products will be available in few other countries across Asia.
