Meizu to launch sub-brand Bigertech in the next few days

In the next few days we’ll see Meizu launching its very first sub-brand – Bigertech. The new site is already live, showing a countdown landing page with few unnamed products, including a Meizu MX3-like smartphone, an iPad-like tablet, a (smart) pen, smart watch and a pair of (smart) glasses.

From what we’ve understood, Meizu will use the new brand to launch a whole new line of devices. Considering that the company is currently making high-end phones only, we would assume the Bigertech name will be associated with more affordable devices which will more often than not come with MediaTek-made chips (rather than those made by Qualcomm and Samsung).

Or not. You see, we still haven’t seen a single Meizu-made tablet. Nor a smart watch. So this sub-brand may be used for something completely different. Waiting and seeing is pretty much all we can do at the moment. Stay tuned as we bring you more.
