EE is not the only British carrier launching its own brand tablet these days (EE Eagle) – Vodafone is joining the party with the fourth generation of its Smart Tab devices.
First thing you should know is that unlike last year’s Smart Tab III, this time round we don’t have the entire series but just one device. The new Smart Tab 4 comes with an 8-inch 1280×800 pixels screen, MediaTek’s MT8382 quad-core processor clocked at 1.6GHz, 1GB of RAM, 2-megapixel rear and VGA front cameras, 4,060 mAh battery and 16GB of expandable storage (with microSD cards). Size wise, the unit measures in at 209 x 122.8 x 7.99 mm and has a weight of 328 grams.
Vodafone is selling the Smart Tab 4 for £29 on a two-year contract starting at £20 per month. That cash gets you 2GB of monthly data, and if you need additional 2 gigabytes – you’ll have to shell out an extra £5 per month. Finally, the most expensive plan is £30 per month and includes 10 GB of data…
