On the heels of the G3 announcement, LG held a press conference in Seoul, where it confirmed that the G Flex 2 and Vu 4 are in the pipeline.
As far as we (don’t) know, the G Flex 2 won’t be released this year. We have no any insights on the Vu 4, except that its predecessor weren’t really selling that well. Quite the contrary, LG had tough time convincing users to go for a phablet with a 4:3 screen ratio. Perhaps some things have changed in the meantime, and perhaps this time round it will be different.
When the original LG Vu was launched, it was a huge device not many wanted to carry around. These days, most of us are comfortable with 5-inch phones and are “opening up” to even bigger devices. It remains to be seen whether LG can convince us that the next Vu is the phone we want to buy. We’ll let you know as soon as we hear something new about that device. Stay tuned…
