Chances are you know that HTC is about to launch the One M8 Ace, which will be a plastic version of the regular One M8 (that has an aluminum body). What you may not know is that the company is already working on flagship device(s) for the second half of the year, and again – there will be two different variants, one boasting a metal body and other coming in a plastic shell.
It is said that both the HTC One M8 Plus and One M8 Advance will rock Qualcomm’s fast Snapdragon 805 chip, QHD / 2K screen (2,560 x 1,440 pixels) and waterproof body. The former — which could be the earlier rumored One M8 Prime — will have an aluminum chassis, making it the first waterproof phone that rocks a metal body.
Yup, it sounds too good to be true; and we’re not really sure whether it’s true or not, but it kinda makes sense. HTC needs an awesome device in order to stay relevant and eventually get back to the game. As I’m writing this, the Taiwanese company is no longer on the list of top 10 handset makers. Perhaps amazing devices like the upcoming One M8 Plus help it regain the spot it lost to fast-growing companies coming from China. We’ll see…
