Samsung can pretty much cancel its June 12th event – we have all the details about its upcoming tablets, Galaxy Tab S 8.4 and Galaxy Tab S 10.5, and have also seen the two devices leaked before. Like that’s not enough, another slew of press renders have been leaked, compliments of SamMobile.
As you’re about to see, both models are very thin (at 6.6mm) and light — the Tab S 8.4 has a weight of just 287 grams, while its bigger brother tops at 465 grams.
The Galaxy Tab S units have the perforated texture on the back a la Galaxy S5, and there’s also the copper gold-like coloring on the side, making for a premium look & feel. And that’s exactly what the Korean company is trying to do – to convince us these two tablets are worth more than any other comparable device out there. The addition of an AMOLED screen, fingerprint sensor and special book cover should further justify what will likely be the steep price tag.
Specs wise, the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 and 10.5 will come with a 2560×1600 pixels screen, octa-core Exynos 5420 chip, Mali-T628 graphics, 3GB of RAM, 8-megapixel rear and 2.1-megapixel front cameras, and 32GB of expandable storage. Android 4.4.2 KitKat will run the show right from the get-go with Sammy’s new Magazine UX singing on top.
It is said that Galaxy Tab S devices will be available by the end of June, with pre-orders beginning soon after the official announcement.
