A new, still unannounced Samsung smart watch has been caught at the FCC and, as far as we (don’t) know, it could easily be the Korean company’s first smart watch running Google’s Android Wear platform.
What’s interesting is that the smart watch with model number SM-R382 has dimensions of 37 x 46 mm, making it slightly smaller than the Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo (pictured above), which measure in at 36.9 x 58.4 mm and 37.9 x 58.8 mm, respectively.
So when will this device be unveiled? Presuming we’re right and this smart watch indeed runs Google’s wearable platform, we may see it at the upcoming Google I/O within two weeks. Then, we’ll hopefully get other details like when it will start selling and how much we’ll have to pay for it. In the meantime, feel free to go through these three pages at the FCC’s website for few additional tidbits…
